The Railway

Rambling though the countryside,
on the rail road.
Ariving late at stations,
gaining little time.

The air conditioning is broken.
They are serving chilled drinks,
free of charge to standard class.
"Thanks very much" we hear; but
our carriage is not hot enough.
No drink for us I fear.

The ticket man calls "tickets please",
as we go on our way.
Uphill to Scotland,
beautiful scenery.
Edinburgh and Aberdeen,
to get connecting trains.

We are late so will they manage,
to make it to their destination?
At last we arrive where we get off,
We are lucky a connection exists for us.
